Better luck than the prior day. A few minutes hiking around South Platte Park revealed this beauty to me. All was good until it took flight and I had to lower the camera to see just how close I came to getting whacked by a passing wing.

Good one!
Juvie Red-tailed Hawk??
I didn't ask its age as it was swooping by me. I leave age prediction to Cindy or others at the park.
Just trying to ID from my bird book and that is what I came up with. You don't speak hawk?
